Quien diría que después de mas de dos décadas viviendo en el Noroeste de Arkansas, este pedacito de tierra tendría presencia en El País de la Eterna Primavera, Guatemala.
El 22 de Diciembre del año en curso, el Alcalde del Municipio de San Vicente Pacaya nombro 6ta Avenida de Fayetteville a una de las renovadas avenidas de este hermoso municipio. Todo esto se logra a través de los esfuerzos realizados por la Cámara de Comercio de Fayetteville y la Municipalidad de San Vicente Pacaya de hermandad a ambas ciudades.
San Vicente Pacaya que tiene muchos recursos como el café, el limón, y una de sus mejores atracciones turísticas, El Volcán Pacaya que ahora ofrece algo exclusivamente único en el mundo: Pizza Pacaya.
Pizza Pacaya es un concepto único según lo relata David García, un Vicentino que ama tanto a su municipio y que sabe lo que significa el turismo para su bella región. “En ninguna otra parte del mundo vas a encontrar una pizza hecha en cuevas volcánicas, el volcán pacaya nos da esa oportunidad para poder brindarle a los turistas no solo un atractivo mas, sino que gusten de una deliciosa pizza cocinada en las cuevas del volcán.”
Cuando Steve Clark Director Ejecutivo de la Cámara de Comercio de Fayetteville recibió la visita de Axel González Alcalde de San Vicente Pacaya y miembros del consejo municipal, uno de los temas que se tocaron fue el turismo bilateral para ambas ciudades. El objetivo es que turistas que viajen de Arkansas a Guatemala puedan visitar San Vicente Pacaya y disfrutar de todo lo que ofrece este municipio. Y turistas que viajen de Guatemala a Arkansas, puedan también disfrutar todo lo que ofrece Fayetteville, como una actividad deportiva de La Universidad de Arkansas, El Lago Beaver Lake, El Museo Crystal Bridges, y millas de veredas para caminar y montar en bicicleta.
Con esta iniciativa bilateral ambas ciudades suenan con lograr su máximo objetivo, hermandad las Ciudades de Fayetteville y San Vicente Pacaya.
Por el momento David García de Pizza Pacaya no deja con una invitación caliente: “Bienvenidos al Volcán Pacaya donde se hace pizza en cuevas volcánicas única en el mundo, venga a su experiencia, pizza va a encontrar en cualquier lugar esquina, pero hecha acá en la base de un volcán activo, no, así que bienvenidos.”
La Cámara de Comercio de Fayetteville y Steve Clark están planeando una visita oficial a San Vicente Pacaya para los primeros meses del 2022.

Who would say that after more than two decades living in Northwest Arkansas, this piece of land would have a presence in the Country of Eternal Spring, Guatemala.
On December 22nd, 2021, the Mayor of the Municipality of San Vicente Pacaya named 6th Avenue of Fayetteville to one of the renewed avenues of this beautiful municipality. All of this is achieved through the efforts made by the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce and the Municipality of San Vicente Pacaya in brotherhood to both cities.
San Vicente Pacaya that has many resources such as coffee, lemon, and one of its best tourist attractions, The Pacaya Volcano that now offers something exclusively unique in the world: Pizza Pacaya.
Pizza Pacaya is a unique concept as recounted by David García, a Vincentian who loves his city so much. David knows what tourism means for his beautiful region. “Nowhere else in the world will you find a pizza made in volcanic caves, the Pacaya volcano gives us that opportunity to offer tourists not only another attraction, but also enjoy a delicious pizza cooked in the caves of the volcano. ”
When Steve Clark, Executive Director of the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce, received a visit from Axel González, Mayor of San Vicente Pacaya and members of the his city council, one of the topics discussed was a bilateral tourism for both cities. The objective is that tourists who travel from Arkansas to Guatemala can visit San Vicente Pacaya and enjoy everything that the region offers. And tourists traveling from Guatemala to Arkansas can also enjoy all that Fayetteville has to offer, such as a sports activity at The University of Arkansas, Beaver Lake, The Crystal Bridges Museum, and miles of walking and biking trails.
With this bilateral initiative, both cities dream of achieving their highest goal, the be part of the Sister’s City Program so Fayetteville and San Vicente Pacaya can become sister’s cities one day.
For now David García from Pizza Pacaya leave you with a warm invitation: “Welcome to the Pacaya Volcano, where pizza is made in volcanic caves, unique in the world, come and live your experience, you will find pizza around the corner, but pizza made in the base of an active volcano, nowhere else only in San Vicente Pacaya, so welcome. ”
The Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce and Steve Clark are planning an official visit to San Vicente Pacaya during the first quarter of 2022.
