FAYETTEVILLE – The #21 Arkansas men’s basketball program starts a four-game homestand on Tuesday (Nov. 11) by hosting Central Arkansas at Bud Walton Arena. Tipoff is set for 7 pm (CT) and the game will be broadcast on SEC Network Plus.

This will be the second consecutive meeting between the two in-state programs and the fourth meeting between the schools since 2020.

NOTES:

• Arkansas and UCA met in the 2020-21,  2021-22 and 2024-25 seasons. However, before that, the in-state programs had not met since the 1946-47 season.

• The Razorbacks are 9-0 all-time versus the Bears, including a 5-0 record in games played in Fayetteville.

• The series dates back to Arkansas’s first season of basketball. The teams met on back-to-back days during the 1923-24 season (Jan. 11 and 12) in Fayetteville with the Razorbacks winning 62-27 and 34-14, respectively. The programs also met in the 1933-34 season, on back-to-back days in the 1935-36 seasons and the aforementioned 1946-47 season.

• THE LAST TIME THEY MET • DEC 14, 2024 • ARK: 82 – UCA: 57 @ NLR. Arkansas had six players score in double figures as the Razorbacks cruised to an 82-57 victory over Central Arkansas in the Hogs’ annual trip to Simmons Bank Arena. Arkansas raced out to a 22-7 lead to start the game and never looked back. UCA did get to within 10 after that but the Razorbacks answered with a 9-0 run and led comfortably the rest of the game.

• Coach Cal is 1-0 all-time versus UCA, but is 3-0 versus UCA head coach John Shulman.

• Razorback head coach John Calipari is 22 wins shy of 900 for his career. His next win will give him 879 NCAA Division I, on-court wins, which will tie Dean Smith for sixth on the list.
